Hey Gang,
I'm pretty much just using livejournal as an advertising tool again. Rockistan finally has a show in Toronto, if you haven't seen us live yet (which i hope most of you have considering you're friends) you should, especially this weekend. The show is on Sunday the 15th...I think around 5pm at the Degrassi House in Toronto. I don't know how I'm getting home after this one, but that's cool. Point is though, please come out, it should be a good time...so much so that...good times will be had. |

so i go to the bank today to cash in some rolls of coins for more useable currency, and i get in line and i've got my little baggy of rolls. I step up to the counter, and dumb my rolls on and i said "i've got all this change here!" and i gave my card and everything, and it was all going swimmingly. Mind you, i've done this twice before at this particular branch, and every time it's gone smoothly, and the ladies have been nothing but sweet to me. This lady looks at my rolls and compares their sizes. Now these are the penny rolls. She states, "did you count how many you put in here? Because it looks like some have more than 50 and some have less." Now when i have that many rolls of pennies, i just shove them in until it gets somewhere up on the swirly mark, and then i fold it over. That's what i've always done, but apparently that isn't good enough for this lady. Now i understand that, if they want to be particular about it, i can go home and redo it, no biggie, because i understand that i mean, it -is- a bank and they need to keep their monies all accounted for. But this lady just decides to give a big *sigh* and starts opening the rolls and counting the individual pennies, and i'm all "WTF!?!?!". The whole time she's counting, she's making frustrated noises and giving me cut-eye. Now i udnerstand that it would be frustrating to have to count out that much individual coin, but it wasn't like i asked her to do it,a nd i apologized like 15 times, and she was still giving me attitude. And i'm not trying to be a dick, because i get that it's tedius or whatever, but she volunteered to count them, so i was starting to feel a bit resentful. After she's done the pennies, there was like...a 15 cent discrepency, so i gave her three nickels to balance it out. No harm done, except for the fact that she's pissed at me. She looked at my dimes, which in my opinion, looked very much the same size and length, and says, "did you count those?" and i looked at her sheepishly and said, "no, i'm sorry". She then gave me more cut-eye and said "well you have two options, you can either count these yourself right now, or you can go home and do it." Now i mean, i understand these options if she had given them to me at the beginning, but now she's giving me attitude, and ultimatums after she's already counted out most of my stuff. Counting is part of working at a bank lady! I just don't like people that don't have any customer service. If you hate your job or your life, fine, bitch about it to your co-workers (which she was doing the whole time i was there), but don't take it out on the customer. I said i was sorry and that i would go to it myself but ugh...fuck her. Needless to say i took my 9 dollars that i got for the pennies, and took my dimes and went home. I'm sorry to bore you but that's the most interesting thing that's happened to me in so long. Have a good one ladies and gents. |

so i've just been doing some stuff. The show went alright by my standards, i've heard some good feedback, which is better than none. We have to do something about the volume of Andrew's microphone because he can't be heard. We're playing another one in a month, at or around friends, so more people can come this time, if they should want to, but why wouldn't they! The cottage was a good time, but i can't hold substances so the ride home was a bit of a pukefest. I've just been hanging with people for the rest of the weekend, so it's been a fun march break all around. Have a good...sunday kiddos and i'll see most of you on monday! |

4 days baby, 4 days. Set is sounding awesome. We linked our two bass amps together to form a megamp. It's pretty loud, i hope. WE're pretty much set. School was retarded, lunch was entertaining...that's about it. I really want to not do anything until friday, but alas my homework is calling, so i need to go. |

rockistan show in less than a week. Doors at 8, we're the first band on at 9. Get there early so you get good spots and all that junk. Maybe some crazy hijinks will go down...and maybe they won't, who knows? uhh other than that...have a good night. |

but even more seriously, man, i don't even know what it is anymore. I just can't go to bed early,a nd i'm definately suffering the consequences, as i fell asleep in all, count them, ALL of my 3 classes today. While it was only for short stints, i still need to make it through a day without falling asleep. Anyways, this week was pretty bleeeehhhhhhh, to the highest degree. Stuff is moving along though i guess, and march break will be a much needed...break. If guelph takes my scholarship away, someone is getting a kick to the face. Oh, and i broke all three of my lent promises, the final taking place when i drank a rootbeer with my delicious classic single combo. I don't need to give stuff up, so it's cool. so i made this livejournal so i could originally post on the lovegroup community, and then i'm using it to post on the turner fenton community, but i guess there's no reason why i can't use it for my own devices huh? Today i made a total of 40 bucks working for my dad which is always great. it's probably going to be gone before next weekend. The bistro show was on friday and everyone did really well, which really surprised me because i didn't even think there would be that much talent in the school. That sounded really dicky, but whatever. Rockistan (or whatever name we come up with before then) show in 12 days. In other news, my ipod broke again, but i really don't want to send it out to california, considering...it'd take the better part of a year to come back probably, an di'm pretty sure they can charge me an extra $100 if they think i'm wasting their time, but i could be wrong. ANd i really need to go snowboarding at some point before the season is over, preferably at blue. Anyone who would like to go, drop me a line. Other than that, i should really get around to studying.
